PIA was founded and commenced its operations in 1946 as Orient Airways. Its primary hub is at Jinnah international Airport, Karachi, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad. PIA is known to be the Pakistan largest airline. PIA is the national flag carrier of Pakistan.

Frequent Flyer Program
PIA has the frequent flyer program called PIA Awards Plus. It has three tier membership- Emerald, sapphire and Diamond. Members of this program can earn A+ miles and may redeem these miles for flights. Also, PIA offers many facilities to their frequent flyer program members. Member should earn 30,000+ miles or 25 PIA flight trips for Sapphire entry and 70,000+ miles or 50 PIA flight trips for Diamond entry.
The baggage allowance varies for class of passengers. For Economy class of passengers, they are allowed with a free allowance of one piece of luggage with 20 kg. Economy Plus class with a maximum luggage allowance of 25 kg and Business plus class passengers are allowed with two pieces of luggage which should not exceed 30 kg in total.
